Technology Manager- Data Center

What You'll Do

The incumbent will lead team responsible to execute projects related to Research and Development of Eaton's Data Center Energy & Cooling products. The role will provide governance to drive data center startegy and program execution excellence in close synergy with business division and CoEs. The incubment will be responsible to define, develop and deploy industry-leading data center solutions. The candidate should lead team to develop new technologies, improve existing products, acquire internal and external funding, lead discussions with customer technology leaders, present ideas and projects to Eaton business leaders and ERL leadership. A good blend of technical knowledge and business acumen is desired to be successful in this role.

Role will provide technical guidance and functional work supervision for work done by Data Center Research Team. Incumbent should establish positive working relations with various local and global stakeholders and cross functional team to facilitate open dialogue and trust building across the organization. The focus should be on standardization of processes and practices that will enable organization to engineer secure, future-proof, optimized solutions, while helping to improve efficiency and productivity in a data-driven framework. This role should be leveraging the Eaton Business System (EBS) and relevant industry standards. This role will also network, collaborate and influence with various engineering leaders across the local and global organization to support or lead various initiative prescribed in Eaton Business System (EBS).

Eaton India Innovation Center (EIIC) is seeking a Technology Manager – Data Center Energy and Thermal Research to lead the strategic research portfolio for the Data Center segment. This position is based at our Magarpatta City, Pune office. The role will provide leadership across multiple initiatives under Data Center themes focused on Power and Thermal systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Resource & Capacity Management : Plan and govern budgets for people, software, hardware, and lab infrastructure to ensure optimal capacity and capability.
• Execution Excellence : Champion Eaton Business System (EBS) implementation to enhance capabilities and drive flawless execution of Data Center programs.
• Leadership & Team Development : Foster a high-performance culture by coaching, motivating, and reviewing team accomplishments to support professional growth.
• Stakeholder Engagement : Ensure effective communication and responsiveness to stakeholder requirements across business units and research teams.
