Ascendion - Business System Analyst

About the Role :

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Business Systems Analyst (BSA) / Product Owner with a strong focus on the Azure Platform. With 6 to 9 years of experience, you will serve as a key liaison between our technical teams (Platform Engineers, Architects) and business / product stakeholders.

Your primary responsibility will be to deeply understand the requirements for our Azure cloud platform capabilities covering infrastructure, services, development pipelines, security, and configuration and translate them into a clear, prioritized backlog. You will drive the planning and execution of platform initiatives, ensuring they meet business needs while adhering to architectural standards and DevOps principles. This role offers the flexibility of remote work for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities :

• Work closely and collaboratively with Azure Platform Engineers, Architects, and various product stakeholders to meticulously gather, analyze, and document detailed requirements for the Azure cloud platform.
• Define, create, and actively manage a prioritized backlog of user stories and technical requirements specifically related to core Azure services, underlying infrastructure, CI / CD pipelines, security configurations, and overall cloud platform capabilities.
• Translate complex technical requirements and architectural needs into clear, concise, and actionable user stories and acceptance criteria that align with cloud architecture standards and DevOps best practices.
• Assist in defining and documenting platform capabilities focusing on critical aspects such as scalability, reliability, security posture, automation opportunities, and monitoring requirements.
• Coordinate platform-related dependencies across multiple engineering teams and product lines, proactively identifying and managing risks and issues that could potentially impact delivery timelines or quality.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for questions regarding the Azure platform backlog and priorities.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Ensure alignment between platform features being developed and the overarching business objectives and technical strategy.
• Facilitate communication and understanding between technical teams and business stakeholders regarding platform capabilities and constraints.
