Roles & Responsibilities : 📋
- Perform pre-onboarding compliance checks for independent contractors / self-employed individuals to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- To verify the contractor’s legal eligibility to work, collect and validate tax documentation, check insurance requirements (e.g., liability, workers’ comp) and confirm they met the requirements,
- Conduct thorough employment status assessments; evaluate worker roles to determine appropriate classification (employee vs. independent contractor).
- Partner with Legal, Assignment Support, and Recruitment teams to ensure alignment on classification decisions and pre and post contractors onboarding protocols to mitigate risk exposure.
- Maintain comprehensive and auditable documentation of all compliance checks and assessments.
- Identify areas of non-compliance with the Agency Workers Regulations (AWR) and implement corrective actions.
- Stay up to date with relevant regulatory changes, communicate impacts proactively, and help develop internal frameworks to address them.
- Monitor functional area compliance, risks and support the development of mitigation strategies.
- Demonstrate understanding of AI technologies and their applications in staffing and legal contexts.
- Aggregate, clean, and reformat data and documentation related to Commercial Compliance and Risk for internal reporting and auditing.
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed to uphold NES’ standards of commercial compliance.

Master’s degree with 0-2 years PQE or similar experience.Working knowledge of Excel (especially conditional formatting and data validation features), Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Experience administering defined compliance criteria and key activities within a demanding environment.Experience in accurately and consistently documenting and filing written and verbal information.Proven ability to make informed judgements on collated data for action and improvement.Experience gathering data from multiple systems and sources.Desirable Criteria
Conversant with database systems (e.g. SharePoint, Navision, Luminance or similar).Conversant with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Onboarding systems (e.g. Bullhorn or Bullhorn Back Office).Previous compliance and risk administration experience.Why NES Fircroft?
