Purpose : -
Research Manager – Northern Region will primarily focus on driving business development (60%) and conducting in-depth research (40%) for government clients across the northern region. This individual contributor role requires strong skills in scoping assignments, preparing research-based collaterals, and managing client relationships. The role involves periodic travel (1-2 days trips) to locations such as Delhi, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar to engage with clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities : -
1. Business Development (60%) :
- Identify opportunities and scope assignments based on inputs from government clients and stakeholder discussions. - Build and maintain strong relationships with B2G clients and key decision-makers. Develop compelling proposals, presentations, and other business development collaterals to secure new assignments. - Represent the organization at meetings, events, and discussions with government officials to pitch solutions.
2. Research and Analysis (40%) :
Conduct in-depth primary and secondary research to gather data, analyze trends, and provide insights for project proposals and execution. - Prepare high-quality research reports, white papers, and other deliverables tailored to client needs. - Develop impactful presentation materials to communicate findings and recommendations effectively. - Collaborate with internal teams to ensure research outputs align with client requirements and project goals.3. Client Engagement :
Serve as the primary point of contact for government clients in the northern region. Engage with clients to understand their challenges, expectations, and goals. - Provide regular updates and ensure timely delivery of research outputs and proposals.4. Travel and On-site Meetings :
Travel to client locations (Delhi, Rajasthan, MP, Chhattisgarh, UP, Bihar) for meetings, presentations, and discussions as needed. - Represent the organization professionally during on-site engagements.5. Process Improvement :
Identify opportunities to improve research methodologies, tools, and processes. - Share best practices and insights to enhance business development and research efforts.Qualification : -
Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) preferred from a Tier 1 institute Experience - 10+ years of experience in business development and research roles, preferably with B2G clients.
