Job Summary :
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Government Sales Manager to join our sales team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in selling products or services to government entities specifically Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) and defence sectors including the Navy and Army. The Government Sales Manager will play a critical role in driving business growth by establishing and maintaining strong relationships with government clients.
Responsibilities :
Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy targeting government clients including PSUs defence navy and army sectors.
Stay informed about government procurement processes policies and industry trends.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with key decisionmakers in government organizations.
Work closely with government clients to understand their unique needs and tailor solutions to address them effectively.
Lead the endtoend sales process from prospecting to contract negotiation and closing deals.
Collaborate with the product and service teams to ensure offerings meet the specific requirements of government clients.
Manage the bid process for government contracts ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop compelling and compliant proposals.
Stay abreast of government regulations compliance requirements and industry standards.
Ensure that all sales activities adhere to relevant legal and regulatory frameworks.
Provide regular reports on government sales performance including sales forecasts pipeline status and key performance indicators.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Business Marketing or a related field. Master s degree is a plus.
Proven experience in government sales with a focus on PSUs defence navy and army sectors.
Strong understanding of government procurement processes and contract management.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to navigate complex organizational structures and build relationships at various levels within government entities.
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in enterprise sales, with a focus on large enterprise and government accounts. Proven track record in the Audio-Visual (AV) industry is highly preferred. Demonstrated success in managing complex sales cycles and closing large deals. Strong understanding of AV technologies and solutions. Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills. Ability to build and maintain relationships with C-level executives and decision-makers. Strategic thinker with the ability to drive sales growth in a competitive market. Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Education
Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
