Job Overview :

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Engineer to perform a software upgrade on Cisco ASR 920 routers. The candidate will be responsible for planning executing and validating the software upgrade to ensure minimal downtime and maintain network performance and security.

Key Responsibilities :

• Plan and coordinate the software upgrade for Cisco ASR 9K routers in alignment with maintenance windows and business requirements.
• Perform pre-upgrade assessment including backup of current configurations and system images.
• Download verify and install the correct software image on Cisco ASR 9K devices.
• Execute upgrade procedures following Cisco best practices and internal change management policies.
• Monitor device performance and network stability post-upgrade to identify and troubleshoot issues.
• Document the entire upgrade process including steps taken issues encountered and resolutions applied.
• Collaborate with network operations and support teams to ensure seamless transition.
• Conduct validation tests to confirm successful upgrade and system functionality.
• Provide post-upgrade support and rollback plans in case of failure.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Cisco router software and security patches.
