Job Summary
The Manager of the Legal Function will be responsible for overseeing the organization's legal requirements which include compliance with global and regional laws, strong contract management, , managing client / partner or employee litigations and overall mitigating legal risks to the organization.. This role requires expertise in contract management, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, dispute resolution, and M&A legal advisory. The candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders, external legal advisors, and regulatory bodies to support business operations, ensuring legal alignment across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities :
Legal Advisory & Compliance :
- Provide legal guidance on corporate, commercial, employment, and data protection laws across multiple regions.
- Ensure compliance with local and international regulations, including GDPR and other data privacy laws applicable to the organisation across countries or states .
- Monitor legislative changes globally and advise management on potential risks and opportunities.
- Develop and implement internal legal policies and best practices for the Company and employees.
- Manage the insurance policies of the company not limited to General Liability, Cyber Security, Director's Liability etc.
Contract Management
Draft, review, negotiate, and execute Contracts, Master Service Agreements (MSAs), and Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with clients, vendors, partners and employees within the market ecosystem.Ensure contracts align with the company's legal and commercial interests.Maintain a contract repository and manage renewals.Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Legal Support
Provide legal expertise and due diligence support for all potential M&A opportunities.Advise on legal structuring, regulatory approvals, and risk assessment related to acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic partnerships.Assist in negotiating transaction documents, shareholder agreements, and post-merger integration matters.Litigation & Dispute Resolution
Handle legal disputes, claims, and litigation matters across multiple jurisdictions in collaboration with external legal partners.Represent the company in legal proceedings, negotiations, and settlements.Respond to legal notices and regulatory inquiries.Stakeholder Management
