Job descriptionTo prepare the packing list, containerised packing list, detailed packing list, BL or AWB instructions, ECTN draft, and labels. To prepare comparative sheets for freight, transportation, packers, and clearing agents well before the shipment. To calculate CB for container requirements and plan container stuffing accordingly to avoid excess. To follow-up with the factory or CHA or shipping line, or freight forwarder. To save shipment-related documents in their respective folders or in the data management system (DMS) and maintain all original documents. To prepare post-shipment documents. (Proof of Export). To mail proof of export to the respective vendors. To coordinate with the vendor for the pick-up of material post-FAT clearance. To prepare the certificate of origin, GSP, VGM documents, and various other shipping documents. To follow up and prepare documents for SGS inspection and certification, which is mandatory for African ports. To develop new transporters and wooden packers for cargo dispatch. To track shipments, warehouse bills, and all export-related activities. To prepare various trackers and reports. To arrange for the packing of courier mode samples, prepare the packing list, and negotiate the courier mode freight charges. To prepare the E-Way bill draft as per the requirements. To adhere to the set of KRA activities and the productivity level. To rectify the audited files and upload them in DMS within the given deadline. To upload all the approved files in DMS.
Requirements
- Good understanding of logistics principles and shipment flow.
- Working knowledge of warehouse operations.
- Familiarity with transportation regulations and their documentation.
- Awareness of import / export compliance, customs procedures, and export-import documentation formats (e.g., invoice, packing list, BL).
- Aware of CBM calculation.
