Key Responsibilities
- Supplier Identification & Evaluation : Research and assess potential suppliers for electrical components like inverters, transformers, switchgear, and wiring systems used in solar installations.
- Contract Negotiation : Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and service agreements to ensure cost-effective procurement without compromising quality.
- Technical Collaboration : Work closely with design and project engineers to ensure procured items meet technical specifications and project requirements.
- Inventory & Logistics Management : Monitor inventory levels, forecast future needs, and coordinate timely delivery of materials to project sites.
- Quality Assurance : Ensure all procured equipment complies with industry standards and certifications relevant to solar energy systems.
- Cost Optimization : Conduct cost-benefit analyses and identify opportunities for savings through strategic sourcing and vendor partnerships.
🎓 Qualifications & Skills
Education : Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.Experience : Minimum of 05-08 years in procurement or supply chain roles, preferably within the solar or renewable energy industry.Technical Knowledge : Familiarity with solar PV systems, electrical schematics, and grid integration components.Software Proficiency : Experience with ERP systems, procurement platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.Soft Skills : Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.🌞 Industry-Specific Expectations
