SAP Enterprise Cloud Services (ECS) organisation run and operate SAP’s private cloud offering which are built for customers in various hyperscalers like Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform or Amazon web services.

As part of the ECS Delivery Technical Operations, the Server Management team is responsible for 24x7 operations of these business-critical SAP systems in the cloud at the maximum efficiency. Team provides stable support for the OS and Infrastructure hosted in the hyperscalers or SAP DC. Proactive support is provided to maintain system availability and ensure smooth operations. Apart from the day to day operations we also have strategic projects for newer technologies and enhancements.

Summary :

We are looking for an experienced Linux & Cloud Administrator to support our multinational team by providing L3 / L4 expert support for all Linux OS and infrastructure customer issues. You will lead efforts in trouble shooting, incident handling, root cause analysis, enabling faster issue resolution and continuous improvement of our operational processes.

The ideal candidate possesses deep technical expertise in Linux systems, exceptional trouble shooting and problem-solving abilities. This role demands comfort in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and the ability to operate effectively in a global 24x7 setting.

What You'll Do :

• The Senior Linux & Cloud Administrator is responsible for 24x7 availability of SAP systems running in SAP ECS;
• Respond, troubleshoot and resolve alerts & incidents in the Linux OS or infra layer mainly GCP / IBM / BareMetal;
• Be a L3 / L4 escalation point for production issues;
• Follow change management processes during service request execution;
• Seek opportunities to streamline standard operating procedures through automation;
• Must feel comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic and flexible environment;
• Operate effectively in a global 24x7 International environment.
• To take the On Call / On Duty / Weekend task based on shift schedule.
• Work closely with team members to troubleshoot and resolve escalated incidents promptly.
• Apply ITIL incident management processes to ensure timely resolution.
