Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Engineering Project Management Teams manage cross functional engineering projects. They work with Product Management, Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and other functions across TE to assure projects meet financial, schedule and customer expectations. They are responsible for defining and creating project schedules, portfolio management, communication and execution of programs, identifying resource constraints and working with management for resolution, while adhering to LeanPD processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute the AI strategy aligned with the company’s goals and objectives.
• Lead and mentor a team of AI engineers, data scientists, and researchers. This role doesn’t have direct reports.
• Stay abreast of the latest AI trends, technologies, and best practices.
• Oversee the planning, development, and deployment of AI projects.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements and deliverables.
• Guide the design, development, and implementation of AI models and algorithms.
• Ensure AI solutions are scalable, robust, and secure.
• Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to the team.
• Oversee data collection, preprocessing, and management to ensure data quality and integrity.
• Collaborate with data engineers to design and implement data pipelines.
• Work closely within Engineering to identify opportunities for AI solutions.
• Facilitate collaboration between data science, engineering, and business teams.
• Translate business needs into technical requirements and vice versa.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of AI models in production.
• Implement processes for continuous improvement and optimization of AI solutions.
• Ensure AI systems adhere to ethical guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and present reports on AI project progress, outcomes, and ROI.
• Document AI methodologies, processes, and best practices.

Desired Candidate profile

o Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.

o Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant field is preferred.

o 8+ years of experience in AI / ML development and implementation.

o Proven experience leading AI teams and managing AI projects.

o Experience in deploying AI solutions in a production environment.

o Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.

o Experience with AI / ML frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).

o Strong understanding of data management and data engineering principles.

o Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

o Excellent leadership and team management skills.

o Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

o Effective communication and collaboration skills.

o Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business language.
