Role : Health Pricing Actuary

Experience

: 3+ years.

Location :

Trivandrum / Pune -(Hybrid)

Key Responsibilities

  • Work as an extended team of the ADH actuaries to support various product approval, pricing and Health governance activities.
  • Support ADH in the product approval process for retail and group health business of global Allianz OEs with :

o Assessment of the initial Health product design and pricing developed by the OE.

o Enhancement of the product and pricing with quality, data-driven, practical solutions.

o Coordination with ADH, other Group functions and the OE, as required, to ensure timely completion of the product approval process.

  • Support ADH in assessing the product and pricing maturity of different OEs with deep dive of the current practices and approach in the OE, identifying the gaps / improvement areas and suggesting the possible enhancements to improve the product and pricing.
  • Support ADH in any other ad-hoc Health actuarial activities
  • With a strong problem solving and analytical acumen, understand the existing business challenges and develop data driven solutions that may go beyond the existing practices in a highly dynamic and fast paced environment.
  • You bring your knowledge to bear to analyze data, calculate cost trends and identify risk factors.
  • Effectively communicate with various internal and external stakeholders to convey complex actuarial concepts and analysis into understandable insights.
  • Ultimately, you have an impact on how Allianz is positioned in Health globally.

    • What we look for

  • University degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, data science or any related quantitative fields.
  • More than 5 years of past experience as an actuary in Health insurance product design and pricing.
  • Strong knowledge in data analysis, with practical programming experience, ideally with R or Python.
  • High degree of self-organization and willingness to take ownership.
  • Problem solving skills to address complex issues related to product development and pricing.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business requirements and market conditions.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
