Job Title - Active Directory Architect

Location : Noida / Chennai / Bengaluru / Pune / Mumbai

Educational Background : Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information

Technology, or related field.

Mode of Work- Hybrid

Experience Required - 15+ yrs relevant experience with 8-10 years of AD Architect

level experience.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture Road map & Design

Lead the design and implementation of Active Directory and Azure AD solutions

Create High-Level Design and Low-Level Design documents

Architect AD structures, OU hierarchy, and domain controller placement

Design and implement hybrid identity solutions using Azure AD Connect and cloud

sync

Integrate AD with Microsoft cloud services (e.g., Azure Entra ID, Azure AD DS)

Migration & Optimization

Lead AD migration projects using tools like Quest Migration Manager

Assess existing AD environments and propose optimization strategies

Design and implement migration frameworks and methodologies

Provide hands-on support and troubleshooting during migrations

Experience with GAL Sync and domain controller migrations

Security & Compliance

Develop and enforce AD security policies and procedures

Collaborate with security teams to ensure secure AD-to-Azure connectivity

Implement Conditional Access and password management strategies

Ensure compliance with ITIL and other governance frameworks

Administration & Troubleshooting

Manage AD Group Policies ADFS DFS and PKI infrastructure

Perform AD backup restoration and replication management

Troubleshoot complex AD issues and provide root cause analysis RCA

Optimize performance and ensure high availability of AD services

Automation & Scripting

Develop PowerShell scripts for AD automation and management

Perform advanced scripting for real-time projects and automation tasks

Required Skills & Experience

Strong hands-on experience with both on-premises AD and Azure AD

Deep understanding of AD dependencies for enterprise applications

Experience with AD replication FSMO roles GPOs and NTFS permissions

Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation

Working knowledge of ADFS PKIDFS and DNS troubleshooting

Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning

Familiarity with ITIL practices and service management

Microsoft Certified Identity and Access Administrator Associate

Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert

Microsoft Certified Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
