Associate Dean – Academic Affairs, School of Liberal Arts and Humanities

The Associate Dean – Academic Affairs is a senior academic leader responsible for advancing the academic vision, teaching excellence, and scholarly engagement of the School of Liberal Arts & Humanities. The role ensures that the School’s programs maintain global standards of quality, innovation, and relevance, while fostering an inclusive and intellectually vibrant environment for students and faculty.

Key Responsibilities

A. Academic Leadership & Governance

Support the Dean in implementing the School’s strategic plan with a focus on academic excellence.

Oversee curriculum design, review, and enhancement to align with international benchmarks and industry relevance.

Lead accreditation, compliance, and quality assurance processes (NAAC, UGC, QS, etc.).

Chair or co-chair key academic committees within the School.

B. Teaching, Learning & Pedagogy

Promote and implement innovative teaching-learning methodologies, including technology-enabled and experiential approaches.

Establish academic standards for course delivery, student evaluation, and faculty performance.

Champion interdisciplinary and challenge-based learning within the Liberal Arts ecosystem.

Mentor faculty in pedagogy, assessment, and curriculum innovation.

C. Research & Scholarship

Encourage faculty-led research, publications, and collaborations across disciplines.

Facilitate the integration of student research and independent study projects into the curriculum.

Support grant applications, research funding, and partnerships with global institutions.

D. Student Success & Engagement

Ensure academic advising, mentorship, and counseling support for student growth and retention.

Foster student participation in conferences, debates, publications, and global exchange programs.

Oversee mechanisms for continuous feedback and improvement in student learning outcomes.

E. External Engagement & Partnerships

Represent the School in academic and professional forums, both nationally and internationally.

Build partnerships with industry, research bodies, and cultural organizations to enhance student opportunities.

Work closely with global partners for exchange programs, joint research, and dual-degree offerings.

Qualifications & Experience

Education : Ph.D. (mandatory) in a relevant field within the Liberal Arts & Humanities.

Experience : Minimum 12–15 years of academic experience with at least 5 years in a leadership / administrative role.

Strong track record of teaching excellence, scholarly publications, and research contributions.

Familiarity with global higher education standards, accreditation frameworks, and curriculum innovation.

Demonstrated leadership, team-building, and decision-making skills.
