Job Description

The Functional Consultant's primary responsibility is to understand business requirements, translate them into functional specifications, and ensure the successful implementation of the Temenos T24 Transact banking solution. This role involves close collaboration with regional clients, stakeholders, and the development team to make sure the solution meets business needs and aligns with organizational goals.

This position may involve short-term travel to client locations based on business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Requirement Gathering

  • Conduct workshops and interviews with business users to gather and document business requirements.
  • Analyze and validate requirements to ensure completeness and consistency.
  • Participate in the requirements phase and work with business users to obtain necessary information.

Solution Design

  • Develop functional specifications, use cases, and process flows based on gathered requirements.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to design solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Ensure proposed solutions comply with Temenos T24 Transact capabilities and best practices.
  • Prepare functional specification documents in User Story or Use Case format.
  • Identify requirement gaps and coordinate with stakeholders to resolve them.
  • Implementation

  • Provide functional expertise in Temenos T24 Transact during implementation.
  • Assist in configuration and customization to meet business needs.
  • Perform functional testing and support user acceptance testing.
  • Review QA test cases and conduct functional or unit testing of applications.
  • Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact between business users and the technical team.
  • Facilitate effective communication and keep all stakeholders updated on project progress and requirement changes.
  • Documentation and Training

  • Prepare requirement specifications, functional specifications, and user manuals as per Temenos Implementation Methodology.
  • Conduct training sessions for end-users and provide post-implementation support.
  • Support

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues during implementation and post-implementation.
  • Proactively identify solutions to reduce risks and ensure project success.
  • Assess change requests and perform impact analysis.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or MBA in Business, Banking, or related field.
  • Technical Experience

  • Proven experience in implementing Temenos T24 Transact core banking modules across global locations.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Temenos Payments suite, including modules such as Payment Order, Payment Hub, Repair Engine, Funds Transfer, and Standing Order.
  • Strong understanding of banking operations and regulatory requirements.
  • T24 / Transact and TPH product certifications preferred.
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
  • Familiarity with JIRA for risk analysis, change request logging, and conflict management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
