Role Overview

We’re looking for a Senior Accountant to join our high-performance Finance team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, hands-on, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and efficiency as DriveU scales rapidly across India.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end accounting operations, including general ledger, reconciliations, accounts payable / receivable, and journal entries.
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closures.
  • Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with statutory requirements and internal reporting standards.
  • Oversee GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance filings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for budgeting, cost analysis, and internal audits.
  • Liaise with external auditors, consultants, and government authorities as needed.
  • Drive process improvements to strengthen financial controls and reporting accuracy.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (CA Inter / MBA Finance preferred).
  • 2–5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a fast-growing startup or tech environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Tally / Zoho Books or similar ERP systems.
  • Solid understanding of Indian accounting standards, taxation (GST, TDS), and compliance.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment
