Job Summary :

We are looking for a skilled Python Developer with hands-on experience in writing automated tests using Pytest. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing robust backend systems and ensuring code quality through comprehensive unit and integration testing. This role blends development and testing responsibilities to support high-quality software delivery.

Key Responsibilities :

Development :

Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Python and frameworks like Django or Flask.
Build RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services.
Optimize application performance and scalability.
Collaborate with frontend developers and DevOps teams.

Testing & Quality Assurance :

Write and maintain automated test suites using Pytest .

Develop unit, integration, and functional tests for backend components.

Implement test-driven development (TDD) practices.

Ensure high test coverage and maintain CI / CD pipelines for automated testing.

Collaboration & Documentation :

Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.

Document code, test cases, and development processes.

Work closely with QA engineers and product managers to define test strategies.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

3+ years of experience in Python development.

Strong experience with Pytest and other testing frameworks (e.g., unittest, coverage).

Familiarity with Django, Flask, or FastAPI.

Experience with Git, CI / CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).

Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.

Understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.

Preferred Skills :

Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

Familiarity with mocking libraries (e.g., pytest-mock).

Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Knowledge of performance testing and load testing tools.

Work Environment : Hybrid
