Alpha Data Services - Senior Data Analyst - Officer
Alpha Data Services seeks team player with strong experience and interest in building Data Insight and Analytics as part of the growth in demand within Alpha Data services and our clients.
State Street is making a multi-year strategic investment in Alpha Data Services, we need a strong data science practitioner to work with internally and with clients and prospects on new Data Insight and Analytics capabilities to support our ongoing product development and execution and refinement of our multi-year strategy.
The Data Analyst will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets to provide actionable insights. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate findings effectively
Responsibilities
- As a Snr Data Analyst, you will be responsible for performing general analytics and modelling in a timely manner to address current and future business needs across various areas of the business.
- Defining data requirements, data collection, processing, cleaning, analysis, modelling, visualisation, development of analytical toolkit and research techniques
- In collaboration with the Alpha Data Service Product Domain leads , build and execute the data insights and analytics across Alphas client data sets to improve the velocity and insight of testing, build more data driven decision making and innovate towards new product capabilities.
- Examining and identifying data patterns and trends to help answer business questions and improve decision making
- Identifying areas to increase efficiency improve the speed of resolution by leveraging data analysis to ensure uplift in data quality and availability across clients is measured and the impact of the team is recognised.
- Providing implementation teams with data insights to help them achieve and accelerate implementation timelines by providing a wholistic view of the data within a clients environment
- Design, develop, conduct unit testing, and maintain complex data visualisation reports for scalability, manageability, extensibility, performance, and re-use.
- Work with team members to define useful reports and dashboards that provide insight, improve / automate processes, or otherwise add value to the team.
- Work through iterative review cycles to deliver results that meet or exceed user expectations.
- Ensure consistency by adhering to a set of style guides.
- Analyse data sets to provide context for issues around size scope and frequency of issues to ensure the teams are focused on areas and issues with the greatest impact and resolution can be tracked and uplifts measured

Minimum of 8 years of experience ideally within an Asset Manager in an Data Analyst roleRelevant degree subject (e.g. Computer Science, Statistics, Operational Research) and demonstrable relevant experience.Hands-on experience with data analysis and classical machine learning tools.Ability to tell stories with data, and deliver data-driven insights to a wide range of audiences.Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Excel).Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).About State Street
