WordPress Web Developer

Experience : 2 years

CTC : ₹2.6 – 3 LPA

Location : Remote

About the Role

You will work with an agency handling multiple websites. Most work involves maintenance, updates, template-based development, and implementing custom designs when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, update, and maintain multiple WordPress sites.
  • Build pages and microsites using WordPress themes, page builders, and Webflow templates.
  • Convert custom designs (Figma / PSD) into functional pages.
  • Fix UI / UX issues, layout bugs, and browser compatibility problems.
  • Handle basic on-page SEO tasks (meta tags, schema, redirects, site hygiene).
  • Perform regular backups, plugin updates, and basic security checks.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of WordPress (themes, custom themes, plugins, page builders).
  • Experience with Webflow (CMS, components, interactions).
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript .
  • Ability to work with PHP basics for WordPress tweaks.
  • Understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Familiarity with Git or basic version control.

  • Writes clean, organized, and well-commented code .
  • Follows proper folder structure, naming conventions, and coding standards .
  • Ensures mobile-first and responsive layouts.
  • Uses reusable components rather than duplicating code.

  • Documents work clearly (what was changed, why, version history).
  • Implements basic security practices (avoiding unsafe plugins, sanitizing inputs, etc.).
  • Follows performance guidelines (image compression, caching, limiting heavy scripts).
