Technical AI Project Manager

Responsibilities

  • Project planning and execution :
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in executing technology initiatives.
  • Implement and facilitate Agile methodologies like sprint planning and retrospectives.
  • Define project milestones, objectives, and deliverables.

Technical leadership :

  • Oversee the technical aspects of AI projects, such as data pipelines, model development, and deployment.
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of proposed solutions and manage technical resources.
  • Provide technical guidance and make informed decisions regarding system architecture and software development.

    • Stakeholder management and communication :

  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Communicate project progress, risks, and issues to all parties involved.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define project scope.

    • Risk management and problem-solving :

  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks to ensure project success.
  • Resolve issues that arise during the project lifecycle, especially those unique to AI projects like data quality or model performance.

    • Process and performance improvement :

  • Analyze and improve management and technical processes to increase efficiency.
  • Establish and maintain best practices for AI project management.
  • Track project performance and provide regular reports to stakeholders.

    • Qualifications

  • Education : Bachelor's degree in fields like Computer Science, AI, or Business is typically required.

    • Skills :

  • Strong understanding of AI, machine learning, and data literacy.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies, especially Agile.
  • Excellent communication skills to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical teams.
  • Strategic thinking, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with project management tools and software.
