Job Description
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop CNC Programs for VMC, HMC, Turn-Mill, and 4 / 5-axis machines using CAM software.
- Perform First Article Inspection (FAI) proving and validate machining accuracy on the shop floor.
- Estimate machining hours for new components and support costing teams with accurate cycle time data.
- Optimize machining parameters , tool selection, and cutting strategies to enhance productivity and tool life.
- Train and guide machine operators on program understanding, setup practices, and machining techniques.
- Troubleshoot CNC program-related and process issues during trials or production runs.
- Coordinate with Methods, Quality, Design, and Vendor teams to ensure smooth new part development and approval.
Education & Qualification :
Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical EngineeringRequirements
Experience Required :
Minimum : 5–7 years in CNC programming and provingIdeal : 7–10 years with exposure to multi-axis (4th / 5th axis) machining and estimation activitiesPreferred Domain : Aerospace, Defence, Precision Machining, or AutomotiveKey Skills :
