Job Role : Sales / Key Account Manager – Sterile Formulations
Role Purpose
Develop and grow Gopani’s business in sterile formulations plants, including SVP, LVP, injectables, and ophthalmic facilities, by positioning our filtration and single-use solutions for pre-filtration, sterilising grade filtration, and final fill applications.

Formulation and production heads in sterile plants.Engineering and maintenance teams handling sterile lines.QA, QC, and microbiology teams responsible for sterility assurance.Project, validation, and tech transfer teams in large pharma.Key Responsibilities
Identify filtration opportunities across SVP, LVP, injectable, and ophthalmic lines.Support customers with selection, sizing, and optimisation of filtration solutions.Plan and coordinate on-site trials, filterability studies, and integrity testing support.Build strong relationships with QA, microbiology, and engineering stakeholders.Monitor competitor activity and position Gopani’s value proposition effectively.Drive both new account acquisition and growth in existing sterile accounts.Ensure timely follow-up, documentation, and closure of technical and commercial issues.Candidate Profile – Education and Experience
B.Tech in Chemical, Pharmaceutical Technology, Biochemical, or related field is preferred.3–8 years of experience selling filters, sterile process equipment, or related solutions into sterile pharma.For senior profiles, 8+ years in sterile formulations or parenteral-related sales can be considered even without an engineering degree.Exposure to cleanroom environments and sterile operations is highly desirable.Experience dealing with QA / QC, microbiology, and regulatory audits is a plus.Core Competencies
Comfortable working in and around sterile cleanroom environments.Strong understanding of sterilising grade filtration concepts and terminology.Ability to coordinate complex trials and document results clearly.Good negotiation skills and closing ability with technical buyers.Disciplined approach to account mapping, visit planning, and reporting.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Revenue from sterile formulations accounts and relevant SKUs.Number of lines or applications where Gopani filters are approved and used.New sterile plants or blocks brought into the customer base.Trial-to-order conversion rate for sterile filtration applications.Retention and growth of key sterile accounts.Travel and Location
Regular travel to sterile formulation plants is required (30–60% of time). Gowning and adherence to cleanroom protocols will be necessary.
