Job descriptionManage guarantee claims for new build vessels Arrange repairs and requisitions for service engineers / technicians Handle routine communication with vessels and other parties Track Lub oil sample analysis and send reports to vessels Maintain checklist of periodic reporting due from vessels Provide support for dry-dock planning and execution Compile statistical data (KPIs, guarantee claims) and assist with department reporting Review vessel manager invoices and bring forward items for attention Prepare expense reports and reconcile credit card statements Maintain and update documents for fleet-wide communication Schedule business travel and assist with visa applications Track team members' travel and inspection reports Update NS5 (Planned Maintenance System) performance notes Perform other duties as required
Technical Officer - Containers - Mumbai (Andheri East)
Requirements :
Two or more years in a similar role in a ship management
company or sailing experience in an officer rank
Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Must know how to source ship spares and stores for
containerships
Job Responsibilities
Environmental and Quality Management- Understand Health, Safety, Environmental Protection, and Quality Policy
- Report environmental noncompliance and concerns to senior management
- Ensure compliance with Environmental Management System (EMS)
Vessel Management- Monitor and arrange surveys (class / statutory) in consultation with Vessel Manager
Documentation and Record-Keeping- Maintain up-to-date records and files (manuals, drawings, instruction books)
Administrative Support- Dispatch and follow up on documents related to vessel-specific requirements
Fleet Team Support- Coordinate calendars, send invitations, and organize external meetings
Additional Responsibilities- Attend department meetings and record minutes
