Role Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Video Editor to join our growing content team on-site in Noida. In this role, you will lead the post-production process, transforming raw footage into engaging, high-quality educational videos. You will work closely with producers, content experts, and designers to craft compelling visual narratives that align with SciAstra’s mission of making science accessible to millions. Your expertise in editing, motion graphics, sound design, and visual pacing will be key to delivering content that informs and inspires.
What You’ll Own :
Lead the post-production process for both short-form and long-form video content (Reels, Shorts, lectures, explainers).
Edit video footage into polished final products using tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, etc.
Design and animate motion graphics, infographics, intros / outros, and transitions that enhance viewer understanding and engagement.
Ensure high standards in sound design, color grading, subtitles, and visual coherence aligned with SciAstra’s brand guidelines.
Collaborate with content creators and producers to refine storylines, pacing, and messaging based on academic goals and platform best practices.
Maintain a scalable editing workflow using templates, presets, and organized project structures for efficient delivery.
Mentor and support junior editors, providing guidance and feedback to uphold creative quality.
Stay updated on video trends, platform formats (YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn), and editing innovations to improve viewer retention and engagement.
Who You Are
1-2+ years of professional experience in video editing, ideally with an educational or digital content platform.
Strong command of Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects) and / or DaVinci Resolve; familiarity with Final Cut Pro is a plus.
Demonstrated expertise in visual storytelling, motion graphics, pacing, and audio-visual synchronization.
Ability to translate complex academic concepts into clear, visually engaging narratives.
A background in science from class 11th–12th is preferred to align with subject matter.
Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude, capable of both taking direction and leading post-production initiatives.
Familiarity with content performance metrics (e.g., retention, click-through rate) and a desire to iterate based on feedback.
