SAP HANA Consultant

Position Overview / Purpose

Performs database operations and fulfills service requests for SAP HANA and Oracle databases across Lenovo’s managed SAP environments. Ensures data integrity, performance stability, and availability through timely execution of DB-related activities.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Execute service requests for backup restore, user creation, schema modification, and parameter tuning.
• Monitor DB health (through HANA Cockpit, DBACOCKPIT, and OEM) and resolve alerts within SLA.
• Validate daily backups and maintain DR replication status.
• Perform DB patching and revision upgrades following Lenovo CAB approval.
• Analyze slow queries and support Basis SMEs for performance issues.
• Document DB service requests and update ServiceNow records with execution proofs.
• Support system refresh activities and post-copy automation.
• Collaborate with Infra SMEs to ensure storage and I / O performance.
