The Senior Manager, Benefits – APAC leads the design, execution, and governance of employee benefits across all APAC locations. This strategic role ensures benefit offerings are competitive, compliant, cost-effective, and aligned with global and regional Total Rewards strategies. The role manages vendor relationships, oversees compliance, leads regional projects, and partners closely with business leaders, HRBPs, and external consultants
Principal Responsibilities and Essential Duties
- Design, manage, and optimize regional benefit programs across APAC, including medical, wellness, retirement, insurance, and time-off policies.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with country-specific statutory and regulatory benefit requirements; stay abreast of regional legal updates and market trends.
- Lead vendor strategy across APAC, including selection, contract negotiation, relationship management, and performance evaluation to ensure service quality and cost efficiency.
- Drive annual renewals, benefit harmonization initiatives, and continuous process improvements to enhance program effectiveness and employee experience.
- Oversee and coach benefits professional(s); set goals, provide regular feedback, conduct performance reviews, and support career development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including HRBPs, payroll, finance, legal, and global Total Rewards to ensure alignment and seamless program execution.
- Develop and manage regional benefits budgets; monitor costs, utilization, and ROI to ensure fiscal responsibility.
- Lead benefits communications to increase employee awareness and understanding of available programs; ensure materials are localized and culturally appropriate.
- Provide strategic input into global Total Rewards initiatives, offering an APAC perspective on benefit design and employee needs.
- Support M&A due diligence, onboarding, and integration of benefits programs in new geographies or acquisitions.
- Analyze benefits program utilization and market competitiveness; recommend enhancements based on data insights and business priorities.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field; advanced degree or certification preferred.10+ years of progressive experience in employee benefits, with at least 3–5 years in a regional APAC leadership role.In-depth knowledge of benefit regulations and practices in multiple APAC countries; knowledge of benefit programs in India and Philippines is preferred.Strong vendor management, negotiation, and contract evaluation skills.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with executive presence.Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and complex projects.Proficiency in data analysis and HR technology (Workday, SuccessFactors, or similar).Thanks & Regards
