Senior Data Engineer - Contractor

For one of our clients, we are looking for a Senior Data Engineer based in Bengaluru, India, to join the project as a contractor.

In this role you will collaborate with solution engineers, data scientists, product owners and other professionals, to deliver high-quality, scalable data assets and analytics solutions. The position involves hands-on development, solutioning, and optimization of Spark jobs, with a focus on reliability, data quality, and performance.

Responsibilities :

• Design and implement data pipelines,
• Ensure reliability, data quality, and optimal performance of data assets in cloud environments,
• Translate complex business requirements into high-quality data asset and capability delivery,
• Deliver high-quality code using PySpark / Python, SQL, and TypeScript, focusing on simplicity, reusability, and maintainability,
• Optimize Spark jobs for efficiency and cost,
• Support emerging AI and ML capabilities
