About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will combine strong hands-on data engineering expertise with the ability to coordinate and provide leadership for Capco’s data strategy initiatives — including the archiving of historical Dynamics 365 data and building out a scalable data warehouse .

This role requires a deep understanding of Azure data services, Dataverse, and Power Platform , with added exposure to MS Fabric or Snowflake being a strong advantage. The candidate should also demonstrate solid project management and stakeholder coordination skills , capable of steering cross-functional data efforts from design through delivery.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) for ingestion, transformation, and orchestration.
  • Lead or coordinate initiatives around archiving historical data from Dynamics 365 and designing scalable data warehouse solutions.
  • Build and manage data models, schemas, and integrations within Dataverse , ensuring consistency, performance, and maintainability.
  • Develop and enhance business applications and workflows using Power Platform tools :
  • Power Apps
  • Power Automate
  • Power Pages
  • Power BI
  • Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to define data requirements, priorities, and milestones — ensuring alignment with the overall data strategy.
  • Apply strong SQL and database management principles to design efficient data storage, retrieval, and ETL processes.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, governance, and security across platforms and data pipelines.
  • Contribute to project coordination and leadership — managing timelines, dependencies, and deliverables across teams and vendors.
  • Explore and leverage Microsoft Fabric and / or Snowflake for modern data warehousing and analytics capabilities.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data workflows for performance and reliability.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

  • 5–12 years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Power BI).
  • Proficiency in Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Dataverse for data orchestration and modeling.
  • Solid understanding of SQL , relational database concepts , and data modeling (star / snowflake schema).
  • Proven experience in building and maintaining data warehouses and scalable data solutions in cloud environments.
  • Strong organizational, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Exposure to Microsoft Fabric and / or Snowflake for modern data engineering or analytics workloads.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 data architecture (for archival and integration).
  • Microsoft certifications in Power Platform or Azure Data Engineering .
  • Experience with CI / CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with Azure Synapse , Azure Functions , or Logic Apps .
