About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to support and grow our SaaS-based Telephony business. The ideal candidate will have experience in SaaS or telephony solutions, strong business development skills, and a proven ability to acquire and manage B2B clients. This role requires an entrepreneurial mindset, hands-on execution, and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Drive client acquisition efforts across industries for our telephony SaaS solutions.
  • Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, from lead generation to deal closure.
  • Own revenue targets and deliver consistent growth.

Market & Strategy Support

  • Assist in defining GTM strategies, pricing models, and competitive positioning.
  • Conduct market research and identify new opportunities for expansion.
  • Client Engagement

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with enterprise and mid-market clients.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and identify upselling / cross-selling opportunities.
  • Product Collaboration

  • Work closely with product and tech teams to share customer feedback and align offerings with market needs.
  • Support in identifying feature gaps and competitive advantages.
  • Partnerships

  • Assist in building alliances with telecom operators, CPaaS providers, and solution vendors to expand market reach.
  • KPIs & Reporting

  • New client acquisition and pipeline growth.
  • Revenue contribution against targets.
  • Customer retention and account growth.
  • Supporting metrics such as CAC, LTV, MRR.
  • Requirements

    Experience

  • 3–4 years of total experience in SaaS, CPaaS, or VoIP / telephony business development .
  • Proven track record in B2B sales, client acquisition, and revenue delivery.
  • Knowledge

  • Familiarity with SIP, VoIP, cloud telephony platforms (e.g., Twilio, Exotel, Knowlarity).
  • Understanding of CRM / ERP integrations, IVR systems, and API-based communications platforms.
  • Skills

  • Strong business development and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Startup mindset – agile, resourceful, and outcome-driven.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or Telecom.
  • MBA or business certification.
  • Prior experience in SaaS startups, CPaaS providers, or telecom tech firms.
