About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Technical Writer to create technical documentation for developers. This role involves working closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Developer Programs Engineering teams to deliver comprehensive and user-friendly documentation that helps customers successfully implement and manage compliant workloads on Google Cloud.
Responsibilities
- Research, write, and maintain high-quality technical documentation and online content for a variety of audiences, targeting key customer sets and user scenarios.
- Collaborate closely with other writers and other functions (such as Product Managers, UX, Customer Engineers, Solutions Architects, and more) to research customer needs, plan and prioritize content to meet those needs, and then execute on the plan.
- Manage complex documentation projects and own the cross-product strategy at multiple levels.
- Balance competing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.6+ years of experience writing technical documentation for developer audiences or other highly technical users.Preferred Qualifications
Relevant experience producing excellent technical documentation for a technical audience.Proficiency with HTML or Markdown; proficiency in a Unix environment.Proven communication and teamwork skills and strong initiative.Ability to navigate ambiguity, support multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Experience with Google Cloud Platform.Experience with or interest in Machine Learning and AI.Skills Required
