We’re looking for a Senior Director, Product Management to join the Machine Learning Experience (MLX) team!

The MLX team is at the forefront of how Capital One builds and deploys responsible ML models and features; we onboard and educate associates on the ML platforms and products that the whole company uses; we drive new innovation and research; and we’re working to seamlessly infuse Generative AI and ML into the fabric of the company. The AI experience we're creating is the foundation upon which our lines of business will continue to deliver next-generation machine learning-driven products and services for our customers.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

Develop and communicate the product vision and strategy for your area of responsibility
Deeply understand the needs of data scientists, machine learning engineers and model risk officers across Capital One
Partner with business and technology leadership to align on prioritization of key problems to be solved to maximize business and customer outcomes
Collaborate with teams in India and USA to drive alignment with different teams working on the platform
Incorporate design thinking and analytics to inform product design
Responsible for a team of directly reporting product managers
Maintain a healthy backlog of work and play a critical role in many agile ceremonies.
Support the team with escalation and resolution of impediments
Serve as the connection between customers, Capital One’s mission, and your team

Passionate about building a well-rounded product management skill set that is human centered, business focused, and technology driven with an emphasis on integrated problem solving and people leadership

You are experienced working in an Agile environment

You are a do-er who can also zoom out and think strategically

You have excellent oral and written communication skills

You are highly collaborative and have the ability to influence and lead

Basic Qualifications :

Bachelor’s Degree

At least 15 years of experience in product management or at least 12 years of experience in business analysis or data science

At least 5 years of people leadership experience leading product manager teams

Preferred Qualifications :

MBA or Master’s degree

Experience building products for data scientists, machine learning engineers or model risk officers

Expertise in observability, logging, monitoring, tracing, AIOps and MLOps.

Experience with Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence technologies

Experience working at a startup or in a startup environment
