Principal Exhibition Designer - Events (Remote)

About the Role & Team

IDC, a global leader in technology market intelligence, is seeking a Pricipal Exhibition Booth Designer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have 4–5 years of experience in designing exhibition stands, trade show booths, and 3D visualizations.

The role involves conceptualizing, designing, and delivering visually compelling and brand-aligned exhibition spaces, as well as producing print artworks and marketing collaterals using Adobe Illustrator.

What You'll Do

Design & Visualization

• Conceptualize and design 3D exhibition booths, trade show stands, and event spaces in line with brand guidelines and client objectives.
• Develop detailed 3D models, renderings, and mockups to present design ideas effectively.
• Collaborate with the marketing and events teams to ensure design feasibility, aesthetics, and functionality.
• Create 2D layouts, floor plans, and elevations as part of the design documentation process.
• Adapt global design concepts to local requirements when needed.
  
  

Artwork & Graphic Design

• Develop print-ready artwork files for branding, panels, and graphics using Adobe Illustrator and other Adobe Creative Suite tools.
• Coordinate with printers, production vendors, and fabricators to ensure artwork accuracy and print quality.
• Ensure all graphics meet technical specifications (bleed, resolution, color formats, etc.).
  
  

Project Coordination

• Work closely with the production team to translate designs into feasible structures and installations.
• Assist in material selection, color palette development, and finishing options for each booth.
  
  

Participate in project reviews, client discussions, and on-site setup supervision when required.

What You Bring

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Exhibition Design, Interior Design, or related field.
• 4–5 years of proven experience in exhibition booth design, trade show stand design, or related 3D design fields.
  
  

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in 3ds Max, SketchUp, AutoCAD, V-Ray, or equivalent 3D design and rendering software.
• Strong command of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign for print artworks and graphics.
• Understanding of space planning, materials, fabrication methods, and production techniques.
• Familiarity with brand environments, signage, and display systems.
  
  

Soft Skills

• Strong conceptual thinking and creativity.
• Excellent attention to detail and aesthetic sensibility.
• Good communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  
  

Preferred

• Experience working with international exhibition standards or global clients.
