About the Role The Senior Controller will play a critical role in overseeing KMK’s global financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.
This hands-on leadership role reports directly to the Founder & CEO and will work closely with the existing part-time (P / T) Controller.
The position can be either full-time or part-time and may be based in the U.S.
or India.
We’re seeking an experienced finance professional who combines strong accounting expertise with operational acumen and the ability to manage end-to-end financial processes in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities Core Accounting & Reporting Manage and reconcile company books monthly, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Oversee and maintain QuickBooks, ensuring integrity and consistency of financial data.
Maintain oversight of accounts payable / receivable, expense management, and cash flow.
Financial Planning & Analysis Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Provide actionable insights and recommendations to leadership on financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
Compliance & Operations Oversee payroll processing and coordinate with Paylocity, ensuring compliance with all payroll tax obligations.
Liaise with the IRS, state tax agencies, auditors, external tax accountants, and select vendors to ensure timely filings and compliance.
Assist with annual audits and financial reviews as needed.
Provide ad hoc operational and administrative support in a collaborative, small-office environment.
Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA qualification preferred.
Minimum 7+ years of progressive accounting and financial management experience, ideally in a professional services or consulting environment.
Strong knowledge of U.S.
GAAP, state and federal tax compliance, and payroll management.
Proficient in QuickBooks (QB) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, and advanced formulas).
Experience with Deltek or similar ERP systems is a plus.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment with limited supervision.
