Job Title : Financial Planning & Analysis

Designation : (Manager / Sr Manager – FP&A)

Qualification : CA, MBA etc

Experience : 7-9 years post qualification. (Preferably in Media & Advertising, Consulting, IT)

Key Responsibilities (covering a multitude of roles) :

This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and strategic alignment of financial planning and analysis within the organization.

1. Budgeting & Forecasting :

  • Financial Analysis : Provide comprehensive financial analysis to assist in strategic, operational, and financial decisions.
  • Financial Reporting Management : Oversee the preparation and accuracy of all financial reports, including budgets, rolling forecasts, and actuals, ensuring timely and precise delivery of financial results.

2. Month end Reporting & Book closure :

  • Assist in key month end financial activities and liaise with Shared Service team to get the accounting entry posted.
  • Reviewing financials daily during the month-end period and reporting issues to finance management,
  • Comparing Actual to plan / forecast / prior period to ensure correct month-end close &; investigating unusual postings and escalating the same to various teams.
  • 3. Management Reporting :

  • Flash Reporting : Deliver timely flash reports to management based on preliminary estimates.
  • Dashboard Preparation : Create and maintain monthly dashboards that track key P&L, balance sheet, and operational KPIs at the country, brand, and practice levels.
  • Business Impact Analysis : Support the FP&A senior lead in evaluating the financial implications of new initiatives on revenue and profitability.
  • Compliance & Accuracy : Ensure financial reporting adheres to IFRS and Janus standards, and accurately reflects actual. Also, investigate discrepancies and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Payroll Review : Deep Dive into Personal Costs, Dashboard Creation, and Budget Building.
  • 4. Balance Sheet Review :

  • Risk Assessment : Conduct risk assessments on the balance sheets of various agencies, highlighting potential issues to Finance Management.
  • Balance Sheet Aging Analysis : Provide monthly aging analysis of balance sheet items to Finance Management.
  • Technical Skills :

  • Hyperion / Essbase : Experience with Hyperion (HFM) and Essbase preferable
  • SAP : Working knowledge of SAP is advantageous.
  • Additional Attributes :

  • Analytical Skills : Strong analytical abilities to assess financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Communication : Effective communication skills to convey financial information clearly to stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail : Meticulous attention to detail in financial reporting and analysis.
