Job Title : Preparation Cook
Key Responsibilities :
- Create menu items as requested by the supervisor.
- Maintain advanced knife handling skills and safely use them in the kitchen.
- Be able to work in any section of the kitchen.
- Have a good understanding of culinary terms and food knowledge.
- Be able to read, understand, follow, and prepare company recipes.
- Work efficiently and productively, meeting deadlines.
- Follow public health guidelines and standards in the kitchen.
- Prepare their area for inspections by maintaining cleanliness and organization.
- Report for duty on time, follow instructions, and maintain personal appearance, uniform, and hygiene according to company rules.
Financial Responsibilities :
Manage costs effectively through proper use of resources, equipment, and supplies.Qualifications and Education :
A minimum of 4 years of experience in an upscale hotel, resort, or convention banqueting service, with at least 2 years as a Preparation Cook.A culinary school degree is required.Strong management skills in a multicultural environment.Excellent communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and people skills.Superior customer service, team-building, and conflict resolution skills.Knowledge of personalized service principles, including needs assessment techniques and quality service standards.Intermediate computer software skills.Understanding of basic accounting principles, such as numbering flow and Debits / Credits.Ability to write reports and business correspondence.Internal Candidate Requirements :

Completion of at least one contract as Commis Cook with a performance rating of satisfactory or above, along with demonstrated leadership skills.
