Job Description : Requirements

• Proven experience as a Database Developer with a strong focus on PostgreSQL .
• Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions .
• Experience with database design, normalization, and schema creation .
• Strong understanding of indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning .
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL extensions (e.g., PostGIS, pg_stat_statements ).
• Knowledge of database security best practices.
• Experience with database backup, recovery, and replication strategies.
• Familiarity with tools like pgAdmin, psql, and other PostgreSQL utilities.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI / CD pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with cloud-based PostgreSQL solutions
• Good understanding of PostgreSQL – Architecture, security, operational knowledge
• Deep understanding of how PostgreSQL manages data, including tablespaces, data files, indexes, WAL (Write-Ahead Logging), and key processes like Postmaster and bgwriter
• Proficiency in installing, configuring, and upgrading PostgreSQL instances.
• Expertise in identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks, including SQL query optimization, index tuning, and server parameter adjustments.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automating routine tasks, deployments, and maintenance
