Position : Building Services – Senior Mechanical Services Engineer

Position overview :
The job of our Mechanical (HVAC) Senior Engineer is a crucial part of our product offering; delivering the most advanced work environments for our clients. We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with 8+ years of experience who is skilled and experienced in all areas of Mechanical and Plumbing design & and familiar with BIM and Revit Coordination.
You will have a diverse background and be ready to lead and coordinate internal project teams in MEP Engineering related services through all the project stages. You will take special consideration, supporting our consultancy and design& build teams through in developing stron design intent and preserve the design quality of a project, mitigating potential later issues during construction. As our Senior Mechanical Services Engineer, you will be responsible for day-to-day management of the engineering related project design and will be responsible to manage several projects at different stages at the same time.
Responsibilities :
- Concept & Detailed Design Development – Support our regional engineering teams in by conducting and / or supervising detailed calculations, equipment and infrastructure sizing, and developing of schematic strategy drawings and detailed mechanical services layouts for different design stages.
- Cross-Regional Project Coordination – Work with engineering project teams in North America, Europe and Singapore to define project scope and support BIM coordination.
- Regulatory & Code Compliance – Research and ensure compliance with local building codes, certification requirements (e.g., LEED, BREEAM, IGBC, WELL), and client-specific MEP standards.
- Sustainability & Energy Efficiency – Integrate energy-efficient HVAC and plumbing solutions, perform thermal and energy modeling, and support sustainability goals such as low-carbon building strategies.
- Site Supervision & Construction Support – Oversee mechanical system installations, inspect MEP disciplines during construction, troubleshoot site issues, and ensure seamless project execution.
- Risk & Quality Management – Identify and mitigate potential risks in mechanical system designs, ensuring quality standards are upheld throughout the project lifecycle.
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement – Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other consultants to ensure project requirements are met and effectively communicate technical concepts.
- Financial – Assist project management and procurement teams in technical and commercial evaluations, providing value-engineering solutions to optimize cost efficiency.
- Innovation & Emerging Technologies – Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in mechanical building services, incorporating smart building technologies and digital twin methodologies where applicable.
- Mentorship & Leadership – Support the professional development of junior engineers, provide technical guidance, and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives within the team.
Qualifications & Key Competencies
Technical Expertise :
Minimum 8+ years of experience specializing in mechanical engineering services within the building design and construction field.Strong understanding of MEP system design and integration with other disciplines including architecture, acoustics and fire protection services.Experience in developing and reviewing basis of designs (BODs), Design Brief Reviews (DBR’s), detailed design documentation, and scope gap analyses.Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and sustainable building technologies.Familiarity with BIM and Revit MEP coordination, ensuring seamless integration of MEP disciplines.Experience with thermal load calculations calculation tools including thermal and energy modelling and performance simulations is a desirable.knowledge of relevant codes and standards in North America, Europe, or other key regions (e.g., ASHRAE, CIBSE, BS, NFPA).Understanding of LEED, WELL, and other sustainability frameworks.Ability to conduct code compliance assessments and technical due diligence reports.Project & Team Leadership :
Experience in managerial or supervisory roles, leading multidisciplinary MEP teams.Ability to mentor and train junior engineers, fostering knowledge-sharing and skills development.Strong project management skills, ensuring delivery of high-quality engineering solutions within budget and schedule.Software & Digital Tools Proficiency :
Proficient in creating AdobeAcrobat, AutoCAD, Navisworks and Revit MEP (desired),Strong grasp of HVAC and energy modeling tools (e.g., IES-VE, EnergyPlus, Hevacomp etc.).Familiarity with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software for airflow simulations (it is a bonus).Skilled in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting and technical documentation.Education :
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.Chartered Engineer (CEng), Professional Engineer (PE), or equivalent certification (preferred).Membership with professional bodies such as CIBSE, ASHRAE, or equivalent (preferred).What we offer to you
