Purpose of the role
The Domain Manager oversees the full lifecycle of all domains owned or managed by the organisation. The role ensures organised tracking, secure DNS management, timely renewals and structured governance of domain related assets. The position supports technical, marketing and operations teams with domain provisioning and DNS updates.
Responsibilities and duties
- Maintain and update a complete inventory of all domains and registrars
- Monitor renewal dates and manage renewals without service interruptions
- Manage DNS records including A, AAAA, MX, TXT, CNAME and other required entries
- Coordinate new domain setups for websites, landing pages and email systems
- Maintain structured cataloguing and documentation for domain management
- Record DNS changes with timestamps, reasons and rollback notes
- Ensure domain security through SPF, DKIM, DMARC and registrar level protections
- Review registrar accounts periodically for access security and 2FA compliance
- Support marketing and technical teams with domain related integration requirements
- Assist with hosting migrations, name server updates and related technical setups
- Prepare domain status and risk reports as required

All domain related work must be completed using approved systems. Credentials, registrar access and DNS configurations must be handled confidentially and accessed only for authorised business purposes.
