MySQL Database are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented MySQL Database Administrator to manage and maintain mission-critical MySQL databases across development, testing, and production environments.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in MySQL architecture, performance tuning, backup and recovery strategies, and replication.
You will ensure database performance, availability, and security while working closely with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams.
Key Responsibilities :
- Install, configure, and upgrade MySQL database servers in standalone and clustered environments.
- Monitor database performance and proactively address slow queries, indexing issues, and bottlenecks.
- Design and implement database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Ensure high availability and scalability using MySQL replication (master-slave, master-master) and clustering technologies.
- Automate routine database tasks using scripting (Bash, Python, or Ansible).
- Manage and enforce database security including user access control, auditing, and encryption.
- Perform database health checks, tuning, and resource optimization.
- Support database changes in coordination with development and QA teams using version-controlled DDL scripts.
- Perform schema design and data modeling for new applications or enhancements.
- Plan and execute MySQL database upgrades and migrations.
- Maintain documentation for processes, architectures, and SOPs.

- Deep understanding of MySQL internals, query execution plans, and performance optimization techniques.
- Proficiency in replication setup, troubleshooting, and point-in-time recovery.
- Strong experience in backups and recovery using tools like mysqldump, Percona XtraBackup, etc.
- Hands-on with Linux / Unix systems and command-line tools.
- Proficiency in monitoring tools (e.g., Percona Monitoring & Management, Nagios, Prometheus + Grafana, or similar).
- Knowledge of SQL tuning, indexing strategies, and storage engine behaviors (InnoDB, MyISAM).
- Familiarity with security best practices, SSL / TLS, and role-based access Skills :
- Experience with cloud-based MySQL solutions (AWS RDS, Aurora, Google Cloud SQL, etc.)
- Exposure to NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Redis is a plus.
- Knowledge of Docker / Kubernetes for database containerization and orchestration.
- Experience in managing large-scale data migration projects.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI / CD integration for database deployments.
- Basic knowledge of data warehousing or ETL pipelines is a Qualifications :
