Position Title : Senior Data Engineer

Position Purpose :

We are seeking a highly skilled and Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to join our dynamic and growing data team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, cloud-native environment and is passionate about building scalable, efficient data solutions. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining our BI Dashboards, with a strong focus on Microsoft Power BI, ThoughtSpot and other BI Reporting Solutions.

Roles & responsibilities :

Design and develop scalable BI solutions using Power BI, ThoughtSpot and other reporting technologies.

Build interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Power BI to support financial reporting.

Create and optimize data models using Power BI Desktop, DAX, and Power Query for efficient performance and usability.

Manage Power BI Service environments, including workspace organization and access control.

Manage row-level security and user access permissions within Power BI to ensure data confidentiality.

Monitor and optimize report performance, including query tuning and efficient data loading strategies.

Leverage ThoughtSpot to enable business users to perform self-service, ad-hoc analysis by querying data intuitively and generating quick insights.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies (Epics, Stories, Standups, Retrospectives).

Document BI solutions using Confluence and provide training or support to end-users to maximize adoption and usage.

Track and manage tasks using Jira.

Self-starter, with a demonstrated ability to learn beyond formal training with a strong aptitude for delivering quality products.

Ability to work with teams that are geographically distributed and work across different time zones

Provide guidance to less experienced team members and / or resolve highly complex production problems.

Experience Required :

Experience with Power BI or ThoughtSpot for data visualization and analytics.

Strong understanding of DAX, Power query (M language)

Strong proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and optimizing performance.

Hands-on expertise with Power Automate.

Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.

Knowledge of CI / CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Proven experience working in Agile environments

Additional Skills Required :

Having experience in Crystal is a plus.

Leveraging AI to develop BI Solutions.

Hands-on expertise with GCP services : BigQuery, GCS, Dataflow, and Cloud Composer.

Experience with streaming systems such as Kafka.

Familiarity with version control systems like Git.

Awareness of Snowflake, Oracle, and DB2.

Experience with Python (or another scripting language) and automation.
