Computacenter GIS business unit is seeking a confident and highly experienced Test Management professionals with vast testing skills, to bring maturity to their existing project management approach. The ideal candidate will take ownership for end-to-end delivery of assigned testing projects, ensuring high quality in accordance with CC standards and processes. Manage multiple projects in parallel ensuring they are all delivered successfully.
Good communication skills and relationship building will enable the candidate to excel at the role, build a culture of strong Test management and advance their career within Computacenter.
What you'll do
Financial, Timeline and Effort Control (10%)
- Ensure the estimated effort for GIS test resources is as precise as possible and includes all test deliverables
- Ensure each test deliverable meets the agreed quality standards, timeline, and effort
- If deliverables fall behind schedule and require additional effort ensure an RFC / additional budget is agreed with the PM and Portfolio Manager
Test Planning (30%)
Provide effort and cost estimation, the test schedule, and resource needs (e.g. broader business teams)Produce the Test Plan including the approach (functional and non functional), environment requirements, data requirements, test users access requirements, entry / exit criteria, communicate the test plan and test schedule to all parties involved (within GIS and the wider business)Take accountability for reviewing requirements and creating test casesTake accountability for producing regular progress reports as to the state of test readinessTest Execution (50%)
Hold regular meetings to review test progress and triage defectsCoordinate testers effectively to achieve daily execution targetsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure thorough testing coverage and effective issue resolutionEnsure defects are managed, chased and resolved in a timely manner escalating as requiredProduce regular progress reports as to the status of test executionManage the test schedule ensuring all parties are informed of any deviation, any slippage should have mitigating actionsManage risks and issues in collaboration with the projects taking ownership for test related risks and issuesAnalyze test results, identify issues, and provide detailed reports and recommendationsEnsure management information is at hand for requirements coverage, defect status, trends and root cause analysis, test execution progressEnsure stakeholders are fully informed, are bought into and support the test processProject Closure (10%)
Ensure the end of test reports are createdEnsure all test assets are save in the correct area and meet high standards of quality and the Spira project is closedEnsure feedback is received from all stake holders and lessons sessions held to understand areas for improvement and feed them into the organizational test strategyWhat you'll need
Minimum 10 years of experience as Senior Test ManagerExperience in Genesys testing or SAP or Salesforce testing preferredExceptional leadership capabilities with the ability to navigate through change and achieve business and technology driven initiatives managing senior stakeholder expectationsDemonstrable organizational, time management, mentoring and coaching skills leading a team of matrix managed SMEs or Test resourcesExtensive experience and deep understanding of Quality and Test Assurance best practices as well as the software development lifecycle including Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid methodologiesDetailed knowledge of formal Test Management methodologies, processes and approachesProven ability to lead and execute quality assurance and test assurance activities demonstrating excellent communication, presentation and collaboration skills.Proven ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines proving a clear action plan, regular communication, progress updates and take personal ownership and accountability to deliverGood demonstrable negotiating and influencing skills to deal with sensitive issuesAbility to draft Testing documentation (test plans, specifications, functional and non-functional)Knowledge and adoption of Prince 2 or similar project management methodologiesKnowledge and adoption of ISO-IEC-IEEE 29119Knowledge and adoption of Test Maturity Model integration (TMMi) :Knowledge and adoption of ITIL v4 Service Validation & TestingKnowledge and adoption of Test Management tools (e.g Quality centre or Spira)ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) certificationSAFe v6 foundation certificationTeam management development training programsLeadership development training programsThis is a global role and the expectation is to provide a global test serviceAbout us
