Key Responsibilities
Supplier Sourcing & Management
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, quality standards, and reliable delivery schedules.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key vendors and suppliers.
Procurement Planning
Coordinate with internal departments to forecast material and product requirements based on project or production needs.Plan and place orders in a timely manner to ensure smooth operations and avoid stockouts.Price Negotiation
Negotiate contracts, prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules to secure favorable terms and cost savings for the organization.Order Management
Create and manage purchase orders ensuring accuracy of item specifications, pricing, and delivery timelines.Track order status and follow up with vendors to ensure timely deliveries.Inventory Management
Monitor stock levels and work with warehouse / inventory teams to maintain optimal inventory levels.Avoid overstocking or stock shortages through timely procurement actions.Quality Control
Ensure all procured goods meet internal quality standards and specifications.Coordinate with the quality assurance team for inspection and resolution of quality issues.Vendor Performance Monitoring
Evaluate supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, and timely delivery.Address and resolve any supplier-related issues that may impact operations.Documentation & Reporting
Maintain organized records of all purchases, contracts, quotations, and communications.Prepare and present procurement activity reports and cost savings analysis to management.Compliance
Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement guidelines, and legal / regulatory standards.Cost Management
Continuously seek cost optimization opportunities without compromising product quality.Stay updated on material market trends and pricing fluctuations.Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related fieldCertification in procurement (e.g., CIPS , CSCP, or equivalent) is an added advantage2–5 years of relevant experience in procurement or purchasingSkills Required
