Position Title : Web Developer (Shopify & E-Commerce Specialist)

PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTION

The Web Developer will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining high-performance Shopify websites and E-Commerce platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, creative problem-solving skills, and an eye for modern UI / UX design to deliver exceptional online customer experiences.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

ü Design, develop, and maintain Shopify-based E-Commerce websites.

ü Customize Shopify themes, Liquid templates, and integrations.

ü Develop and implement responsive and SEO-friendly web pages.

ü Integrate APIs, payment gateways, and third-party apps.

ü Manage website performance, speed optimization, and troubleshooting.

ü Work closely with the Marketing, Design, and Product teams to implement new features and functionalities.

ü Monitor and improve conversion rates and user experience across devices.

ü Stay updated on Shopify updates, plug-ins, and E-Commerce trends.

ü Ensure best practices for security, scalability, and performance.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL & ABILITIES

ü Experience with Shopify Plus, Headless Shopify, or React-based front-end frameworks.

ü Understanding of digital marketing and conversion optimization.

ü Strong visual design sense and attention to detail.

ü Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

ü Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

ü Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in web development.

ü Proven experience with Shopify (custom theme development, Liquid coding, app integration).

ü Strong understanding of E-Commerce workflows including cart, checkout, and fulfillment.

ü Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and Liquid.

ü Experience with Shopify APIs, RESTful services, and custom app development is an advantage.

ü Knowledge of SEO principles, UX / UI best practices, and Google Analytics.

ü Familiarity with Shopify Plus, Klaviyo, Meta Pixel, and GA4 integration preferred.

ü  Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote setup.
