Role Description
The
Business Operations Manager
will oversee and optimize daily operations across both the B2B and B2C divisions. The role requires a strategic yet hands-on professional capable of managing production, procurement, logistics, and customer delivery processes — ensuring precision, profitability, and performance excellence.
Key Responsibilities
A. Operations Management
Establish and streamline operational workflows across divisions.
Manage production scheduling, order execution, quality control, and dispatches.
Coordinate raw material procurement, vendor development, and cost negotiations.
Maintain efficient logistics, warehousing, and inventory tracking systems.
Ensure operational compliance with company standards, safety, and legal norms.
B. Textile B2B Division
Oversee the complete supply chain cycle from inquiry to shipment.
Manage vendor relations with mills, fabricators, and exporters.
Supervise order processing, billing, and dispatch timelines.
Optimize cost structures and monitor working capital utilization.
Handle import / export documentation and trade compliance.
C. Consumer Goods (B2C – Scholastic, Art & Stationery)
Develop operational strategies for retail, institutional, and e-commerce channels.
Coordinate with marketing, design, and production for new product launches.
Ensure availability and timely replenishment of fast-moving SKUs.
Manage packaging, labeling, and quality standards across categories.
Liaise with distributors, retailers, and online partners for smooth fulfillment.
D. Financial & Strategic Operations
Assist senior management in budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis.
Implement performance dashboards and conduct periodic business reviews.
Identify automation / ERP integration opportunities for efficiency improvement.
Control operational costs while maintaining service quality.
E. Team Leadership & Coordination
Lead and mentor cross-functional teams in production, logistics, and procurement.
Define department-wise KPIs and ensure accountability through regular reviews.
Foster collaboration among Sales, Accounts, and Marketing for operational synergy.
Qualifications and Experience
Education :
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or Operations. MBA preferred.
Experience :
7–12 years in Operations, Supply Chain, or Business Management (FMCG or manufacturing experience preferred).
Technical Skills :
ERP / MIS systems, Excel, Data Analytics, Vendor Management, Logistics Coordination.
Soft Skills :
Strong leadership, negotiation, and organizational abilities.
Performance Evaluation
Quarterly performance reviews will be based on :
Achievement of KPIs and cost targets.
Timely delivery of projects and process improvements.
Team productivity, discipline, and goal alignment.
Initiative in innovation, digitization, and operational streamlining.
