Job Description – Global Head of Logistics, Warehousing, Waste Management & Logistics Sourcing

Key Responsibilities :
1. Logistics Management
- Develop and oversee global logistics strategy covering multi-modal transport (air, ocean, rail, road) across all regions.
- Manage partnerships with freight forwarders, carriers, and 3PL / 4PL providers .
- Ensure compliance with global trade regulations (Incoterms, customs, export controls, sanctions).
- Drive adoption of control towers and digital visibility platforms for real-time, end-to-end shipment tracking.
- Optimize cross-border logistics networks to balance speed, cost, and sustainability .
2. Logistics Sourcing & Procurement
Lead strategic sourcing of global logistics services (freight, warehousing, 3PL / 4PL, CHA).Manage RFQs, tenders, and long-term contracts with logistics partners.Consolidate logistics spend while ensuring regional competitiveness and service reliability .Benchmark logistics providers across geographies for cost efficiency, innovation, and ESG compliance .Mitigate global risks by diversifying suppliers, carriers, and trade lanes .3. Warehousing & Inventory Management
Design a global warehousing footprint aligned with market demand, nearshoring strategy, and free trade zones.Implement best-in-class WMS, robotics, and IoT solutions across warehouses worldwide.Standardize warehouse practices (5S, Kaizen, lean) while respecting local regulations.Improve inventory accuracy, cycle times, and working capital utilization .4. Waste & Sustainability Management
Define and execute waste management programs across manufacturing sites, warehouses, and logistics operations.Ensure compliance with international EHS and waste disposal regulations (EU Waste Framework, US EPA, etc.).Partner with logistics providers to reduce CO₂ emissions, fuel usage, and packaging waste .Promote circular economy initiatives — reverse logistics, recycling, reuse, and material recovery.Track and report global ESG metrics (Scope 1, 2, 3 emissions, recycling %, green logistics adoption).5. Strategic Leadership & Transformation
Build and mentor a logistics & sourcing leadership team with regional alignment.Align logistics & warehousing with global S&OP processes to support demand-supply balancing.Drive digital transformation (AI forecasting, blockchain traceability, IoT tracking).Develop a global resilience strategy to mitigate risks from geopolitical shifts, pandemics, port disruptions, and climate events.Continuously benchmark against best practices and innovations in logistics and sustainability.Global Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) :
Logistics Cost as % of Sales.On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) Performance by Region.Total Landed Cost Optimization.% Spend under Logistics Sourcing Strategy.Supplier Performance Scorecards (service, cost, ESG).Inventory Accuracy & Days of Inventory on Hand (DOH).Waste-to-Landfill Reduction (%).Carbon Emissions (Scope 1, 2, 3) per Unit Shipped.Automation & Digital Adoption Rate across Regions.Qualifications & Experience :
Bachelor's in supply chain, Logistics, Engineering, or related field; MBA / Master's preferred.12–15 years of progressive experience in global logistics, sourcing, and warehousing leadership roles .Proven expertise in Strong knowledge of warehouse automation, digital platforms, and sustainability global trade compliance, export / import regulations, and customs operations .Experience managing large-scale global logistics contracts and partnerships .practices .Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and cross-cultural leadership skills .Behavioral Competencies :
