About the Role :
Hexad is seeking an experienced professional with strong expertise in Model-Based Development and XIL methodologies (MIL, SIL, HIL, and XIL) to join our consulting team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in validating, testing, and verifying embedded software systems using industry-standard tools and processes.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform Model-in-the-Loop (MIL), Software-in-the-Loop (SIL), Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL), and eXecution-in-the-Loop (XIL) testing activities.
- Develop, execute, and maintain test scenarios for embedded software validation.
- Analyse model behaviour, software integration issues, and hardware interfacing challenges and provide recommendations.
- Support model-based design and simulation workflows for automotive or related domains.
- Create detailed test reports, defect logs, and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and improve system performance.
- Provide consulting support and technical expertise to clients on XIL testing methodologies.
Required Skills & Experience
4+ years of hands-on experience in Model-Based Development and XIL testing (MIL / SIL / HIL).Strong knowledge in MATLAB / Simulink, dSPACE, Vector tools, or equivalent simulation / testing environments.Solid understanding of embedded systems, software development lifecycle, and real-time systems.Experience in debugging, test automation, and validation of control algorithms.Ability to interpret system requirements, build test models, and analyse outputs.Excellent problem-solving skills and communication abilities.Your Tasks
Conceptualization, development, and verification / validation of simulations in the field of ADAS / highly automated drivingDevelopment of future simulation architectures for highly automated and safe drivingExperience novel vehicle functions during commissioning (SIL & HIL)Your Profile
Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a comparable fieldExperience in software development with C++ / PythonVery confident in using CMake, SVN / GIT, and LinuxInitial experience with ADAS test environments (e.g., Virtual Test Drive, CarMaker, Carla)Experience with simulation middlewares (e.g., ROS, ADS2, FEP, DIS, HLA) is desirableIdeally, experience in agile development projects (e.g., SCRUM, SaFe, TDD, FDD)Experience in automotive domain (ECUs, powertrain, ADAS, body control, etc.).Knowledge of CAN, UDS, or other automotive communication protocols.Exposure to Agile / Scrum and consulting engagements.
