Job description

Job Title : Deputy Manager – Accounts

Department : Accounts & Finance

Location : Bhubaneswar

About the Role

We are looking for a Deputy Manager – Accounts who will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations, with a primary focus on Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and overall financial management. The role requires strong knowledge of accounting principles, statutory compliances, and process management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) processes.
  • Ensure timely invoicing, collections, vendor payments, and reconciliations.
  • Monitor ageing of receivables and follow up to minimize overdue payments.
  • Verify vendor bills, purchase orders, and payment approvals in coordination with internal departments.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet schedules, ledger reconciliations, and monthly closing activities.
  • Assist in GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance filings.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
  • Generate MIS reports and dashboards on AR / AP and cash flow status for management.
  • Suggest process improvements for efficiency in the accounts department.
  • Supervise a small team and ensure adherence to accounting policies and timelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce / Finance / Accounting.
  • CA Inter or CMA Inter preferred.
  • 5–7 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and General Accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and other compliance-related aspects.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (ERP experience preferred).
  • Good communication and team management skills.
