Job Title : Solution Specialist

Description :

Solution specialists play a pivotal role in leading various pre-sales processes for qualified services opportunities. The sales organization is responsible for creating and qualifying business opportunities, while solution specialists spearhead the intake, scoping, service design, and contracting phases of the services lifecycle.

Core Responsibilities :

• Conduct discovery and requirements gathering exercises to ensure comprehensive understanding of client needs.
• Engage subject matter experts to assist in scoping and determining the optimal approach for delivering services in scope.
• Develop detailed estimates and pricing models that leverage technical IT expertise from engineers, architects, and project / program managers.
• Prepare high-quality statements of work that meet client objectives while contractually protecting against scope expansion and other risks.
• Review engagements prepared by other employees to ensure compliance and quality control.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and other departments.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience, 5-10 years of related experience, and expertise in writing technical statements of work and sales proposals in US English. They should also have experience creating and / or working with work breakdown structures (WBS) and budgets for professional services engagements in the information technology field, as well as a track record of working within infrastructure or automation / AI solution areas.
