Job description4+ years of relevant professional experience with a bachelor's degree OR equivalent. Including : 4+ years of experience with testing tools such as Cypress, Webdriver IO, Appium,Detox, Sauce Labs, Chrome Dev Tools, PageSpeed Insights, Lighthouse, Charles Proxy, Jenkins or Github actions 4+ years automation and manual testing experience on web and / or mobile applications Ability to test all application features for web and mobile app Understanding of REST APIs and GraphQL as backend data sources with the ability to test and validate responses at this level Ability to partner with engineers and product managers to understand requirements Ability to create test cases to cover all functional scenarios Ability to assist and triage production issues as needed Experience working in an omni-channel retail environment Excellent communication skills This position is based in Bengaluru. Best Buy™ India operates under a hybrid work model (in office / remote) with an expectation for employees to be in the office three days a week – Generally, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. As a global organization, maintaining collaboration across the globe is a key proposition. Within the framework of established guidelines, employees may be required to engage in extended hours during critical periods.
Key Responsibilities :
- Contribute to the delivery of complex solutions, breaking down big problems into smaller pieces
- Actively participate in team planning activities
- Ensure the quality and integrity of the SDLC for their team and identify opportunities for improvement in how the team works, through usage of recommended tools and practices.
- Able to triage complex issues independently
- Aware of the technology landscape, help to plan delivery of coarse-grained business needs spanning multiple applications
- Set a consistent example of agile development practices and coach other engineers to work as a team with Product and Experience Design
- Help new hires and junior engineers to improve their skills and be more effective
- Contribute to and improve internal libraries and tools
- Understand the business supported by your applications
- Proactively communicate status and issues to their manager
- Identify problems and risks of their own work and the work of others
- Collaborate with other teams to find creative solutions to customer issues
- Show a commitment to delivery deadlines, in particular seasonal and vendor partner deadlines that are critical to Best Buy’s continued success
