Job Summary
The Cost Controller is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and managing expenses across projects, properties, or departments to ensure financial efficiency within established budgets. This role involves preparing detailed financial reports, identifying cost variances, and collaborating with stakeholders to optimize resource utilization and drive cost savings.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze costs across projects, hotels, or departments, identifying trends and opportunities for cost optimization.
- Develop, implement, and refine cost control strategies and systems aligned with company objectives.
- Prepare and present financial reports, highlighting cost variances and recommending corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Property General Managers, and Department Heads to ensure budgetary compliance and financial discipline.
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses for prospective projects and assess financial feasibility.
- Ensure financial transactions and cost allocations comply with accounting standards and company policies.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in budgeting, forecasting, and cost management processes.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Bachelors or master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.3 - 4 years of experience in cost control, financial analysis, or project management.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with project management or accounting software is a plus.Ability to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities in line with organizational goals.(ref : iimjobs.com)
